We had a surprise guest at our production of "Bluff" last night! Jeffrey Sweet, the playwright himself and his wife Kristine Niven (who played Georgia in the original production of "Bluff") came all the way out from the Upper West Side to see our little show. Here is what he posted after seeing it!
"Was very pleased by the Saturday night performance of BLUFF by the Alliance Rep of Summit, NJ. It's a demanding play, and I sat in the audience beaming as they zipped through it smartly, not slighting the dark notes. The budget was obviously modest, but the show was written to work with a minimum of stuff. Thanks, gang!"
Then he offered to buy Chris and I a cup of coffee next time we are in NYC and we will be taking him up on the offer shortly! It was such a pleasure to have Mr. Sweet in the audience!
