I am currently understudying for all the adult women in the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey's production of "A Child's Christmas in Wales" based on Thomas’ classic story about his childhood holidays in Wales in the early 1900’s, this beautiful piece about a time gone by rejoices in the simple joys of childhood, the spirit of goodness, the comfort of family, and the magic that music and the imagination bring to us all.

Turning
"Turning" By Darrah Cloud
In the heart of 1930s Newark, a group of scrappy young women began to train in backyard gyms for what would become the experience of a lifetime.
Playwright Darrah Cloud brings their stories, once lost to history, back to vibrant life in the new play "Turning", as part of the NJ Stage Exchange Program, in collaboration with the New Jersey Theatre Alliance. Inspired by the real life stories of Hackettstown resident and 1st US Gymnastics Team member, Ada Lunardoni, team members Consetta Caruccio, Jennie Caputo, Margaret Duff, Irma Haubold, Marie Kibler, Adelaide Meyer, and Mary Wright, and the memoirs of Jesse Owens.

Ways to be happy
Originally scheduled for production in the spring of 2020 at Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre, "Ways to be Happy" has come to life as an audio play. This comedy about chasing our inalienable right covers multiple locations using listeners’ imaginations and the lively sound design of Jeff Knapp. Darting from a convenience store to a cabin in the woods to a theme park, Maddie and the unusual people she meets are searching for happiness. Does it exist? Or is the world fundamentally rigged?

The Sunshine boys
Here's to my first crack at Neil Simon. I accepted the role of the Vaudeville Nurse in Centenary Stage Company's production of "The Sunshine Boys". Al and Willie as “Lewis and Clark” were top-billed vaudevillians for over forty years. Now they aren’t even speaking. When CBS requests them for a “History of Comedy” retrospective, a grudging reunion brings the two back together, along with a flood of memories, miseries, and laughs

Babel
What would you do if you had the power to build your own baby? And your best friend is a talking Stork? In this version of a near future society, prospective parents learn within the first weeks of conception which genetic traits their child will have, and what behaviors they are likely to exhibit. In this new comedy, two couples collide over what to do with their PRE certification test results. With rapid advances in reproductive technology, modern eugenics is science’s Wild West. How far will we go when playing God?

Shelley
I will be reading the role of Mary Shelley in Hudson Theatre Works presentation of Shelley by Joanne Hoersch on Monday, April 8 at 7:30pm at The Wilson School in Weehawken.
Before she wrote Frankenstein at the age of 19, Mary (Godwin) Shelley ran off to France with her lover, Romantic poet Percy Shelley, and her stepsister, Claire Clairmont, seeking a new life of lierté, égalité, and fraternité. With the idealism of youth, they thought they could build a new world based on the sublimity of Nature, the power of art, and the freedom of the individual. The year is 1814, and this courageous, brilliant threesome begins their adventure…"

Turning
I will be performing in a few staged readings of "Turning" by Darrah Cloud.
Ada Lunardoni had an illustrious claim to fame that was little known to her neighbors - she was a member of the first US Women's Gymnastics Team that had its genesis in the backyards and Turners Gyms of Newark, then going on to cross the Atlantic Ocean with Jesse Owens to compete in the controversial 1936 Berlin Olympics. Lunardoni and the team are now the subject of a play commissioned by Centenary Stage Company, in collaboration with the New Jersey Performing Arts Center and the New Jersey Theatre Alliance in a project entitled the NJ Stage Exchange.

Hitler's Tasters
I am thrilled to be playing Hilda in the world premiere of Michelle Kholos Brooks' play "Hitler's Tasters" at Centenary Stage Company. Inspired by the true story. Three times a day, every day, a group of young women have the opportunity to die for their country. They are Adolph Hitler's food tasters. And what do girls discuss as they wait to see if they will live through another meal? Like all girls, throughout time, they gossip and dream, they question and dance. They want to love, laugh, and above all they want to survive.

Accomplice!
Thank you to all who saw Bickford Theatre's production of "Accomplice!" written by Tony® award winner Rupert Holmes. Winner of the Mystery Writers of America’s coveted “Edgar” award (the “Oscar” of crime and suspense) "Accomplice!" has thrilled audiences on Broadway, across the United States and around the word. The New York Times has called it "a deliciously witty cocktail of a whodunit with a maniacally seamless plot where skullduggery emerges the winner!" This theatrical roller coaster will trigger screams of laughter even as audiences vow to keep its secrets hush-hush. The story begins in Dartmoor, England at the stylish weekend retreat of the affluent Derek and Janet Taylor, and both adultery and murder are in the air. But we will soon learn that all is never as it seems in this electrifying game of trickery and misdirection. Who is the hunter and who the hunted…and precisely who is the title character of "Accomplice?"

About the Play: At a bed and breakfast perched above the Saanich Inlet in British Columbia, a young woman’s plan to marry the perfect man is thrown off course when a young physics professor constructs a time machine so that she may alter the circumstances of her future and discover what went wrong in her life. This is a play of science and love, embroiling the two in a witty comedy about how our perceptions are responsible for the choices we make and the relationships that befall.

Oxygen Promo video
I am so happy to have booked my first gig of 2015! I just finished filming an in house promotional video with NYC advertising agency Broadstreet. The video was a loosely scripted improvised scene about a group of girlfriends talking about their relationship adventures, work place goals and big life dreams and accomplishments over brunch. The video will be used by the Oxygen network in order to generate more advertising clientele interest by showing and relating to the real women who watch the Oxygen network. Once the footage is released a video clip will be posted under the Media tab!

Future relic
I had the extreme honor to work with some very talented well-known film makers right here in New Jersey. I worked as a day player, stand in, and body double for the super hilarious Juliette Lewis starring in episode 03 of "Future Relic". Being directed by Daniel Arsham and working on such a creative Indie film was surreal. "Future Relic 03" will premiere in the "Gallery Opening" section of the Tribeca Film Festival's 2015 short film program.
Here is a link to episode 02 starring James Franco: Future Relic 02 Synopsis: In the not-so-distant future, the Earth’s climate has become dangerously unstable. Tides rise and fall unpredictably, causing catastrophic storm systems that devastate the world’s great cities. In a last ditch attempt to save the world from imminent destruction, a team of scientists generate a plan to deconstruct the moon, excavating large sections from its surface in order to alter its general mass and lessen its gravitational pull on the tides. The experiment works, the Earth is temporarily saved, but adverse effects grow over time and render the world an increasingly inhospitable place for humans. The tangential vignettes of Future Relic are connected to one another by the fall from grace of Dr. Matthias Rey, the scientist responsible for the decision to excavate the moon. |
Bluff
Alliance Repertory Theater's "Bluff" by Jeffrey Sweet is officially open! Nominated for Chicago's Joseph Jefferson Award for Best New Script, "Bluff" is an off-beat comedy where-in Boy meets Girl, starts dating Girl, and then loses Girl when Girl's family makes its presence felt. Mr. Sweet's play alternates between farce and drama as it breaks down traditional conventions to expose the underbelly of family relationships and the inherent differences in how men and women view the world around them. I am so happy to work with a professional theater so close to home and to share the stage once again with fellow Ohio University Alum MFA actor Christopher J. Young!
Show Dates: November 7, 8, 14, 15, 20, 21, 22, @ 8 pm. November 16 @ 2 pm. Location: Mondo 426 Springfield Ave. Summit NJ 07901 |
Star crossed lovers
The Exit 172 production team is almost officially wrapped on an independent feature film called "Star Crossed Lovers." It is a modern adaptation of Shakespeare's classic, but tragic love story "Romeo and Juliet." I played Romeo's cousin Benvolio, which we gender bended to become Benvolia! It was a honor to play such a level headed voice of reason and it was a nice change of pace from the normally male dominated play. Once the film is finished we are hoping to enter it in as many festivals as possible. For more information about the film check out our official website!
Nestle Purina Petcare
I am now SAG Eligible! I just filmed my first 30 second SAG spot for Nestle Purina Petcare, directed by the super talented Michael Tyburski. The commercial is currently on track to be an internet spot with the potential to turn into a national television spot (fingers crossed). The "catress" that I filmed with was the famous Syxx of Cybercat Exotics. She could be seen in commercials (Etrader), television (30 Rock) and in Robin Williams' new film "Angriest Guy in Brooklyn". I only hope my career will be half as full as this kitty's. Footage coming soon!
Romeo & Juliet
I am thrilled to have accepted the role of Lady Capulet in Castle Shakespeare Rep's annual production of "Romeo & Juliet". It will be my first time performing for students and I am very excited to be apart of the production. Performances ran from April 21th-May 23rd. Thank you to all who came to see the show!
